Hey, I’m Maggie. I also go by Penny Banks.
I care about creating thoughtfully crafted products. I believe the artifacts we surround ourselves with should be designed to improve lives and built to last.
I am currently designing on Google’s Nest Energy UX team.
Previously, I designed for Google Fitbit UX, where I designed and shipped experiences for the Google Pixel Watch. This included haptics, sound, buttons, digital crown, charging, and more.
Before that, I helped design and ship Nest Wifi in-app setup and on-device LEDs.
I graduated from Carnegie Mellon University in 2018 with a double major in Product Design and Human-Computer Interaction.
Before joining Google, I interned at YouTube and Jet.com.
CMU School of design wrote a short piece about the IDSA merit award.
I’d love to hear from you! hi@pennybanks.com
