Vessel Terrain
Why
I wanted to explore how I could push the boundaries of typical spherical fish bowls and create a beautiful artifact for the owner and for the fish.
What
These wooden terrains were designed to create an environment and home for a glass vessel. The angled cut-outs afford the vessel to sit at different angles and the rocks strengthen the natural relationship between the vessel and the wood.
How
To fabricate this concept I used walnut, acrylic laser-cut templates, and a bandsaw. The rocks and fish were found from nature.
